The Vintage

As promised in the previous post, this post is about another burger joint here in Madison recommended to us by my friend from work, Kori.  The Vintage

The Vintage is on the same block as Dotty Dumpling's Dowry.  It's a fun, funky place with an awesome happy hour special:  All Milwaukee taps are $1.  Yep.  1 buck for a pint of Miller Lite.  The price is right!  I guess that's what you get at a campus bar.  (Did I mention that both Dotty's and The Vintage are on/close to University of Wisconsin campus?)

True to its name, here are some photos of the inside of The Vintage.  And vintage it is indeed.

Scott and I got burgers to go with our $1 brews.  The burgers were good, but not as good as Dotty's.  When we first looked at the menu, I was afraid Scott was going to order the Vintage Burger, which comes complete with 2 patties and topped with bacon, ham, cheddar, swiss, and a fried egg.  You know he is good for ordering a big old nasty burger like this.

But, he didn't order the Vintage Burger.  He just got a basic one.  Getting a smaller, more basic burger left room for more $1 beers.  More beers is a healthier choice than a burger with 2 patties, bacon, ham, cheddar, swiss, and a fried egg.....right?

Last picture for now; this is a beer sign outside of The Vintage.  It's not just every day that you see a sign for Hamm's beer.  Thankfully.
